According to meteorological officials, a western disturbance is expected to bring widespread rainfall and snowfall in higher reaches between April 3 and 4, along with thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 kmph. “There is a likelihood of brief but intense showers in some areas, which may trigger flash floods, landslides, and waterlogging in low-lying regions,” an official said.

Weather conditions are expected to slightly improve on April 5 and 6, with partly cloudy skies and isolated showers. However, another spell of rain and snowfall is likely between April 7 and 9. Light precipitation may continue on April 10 and 11, followed by generally dry weather from April 12 to 15.
