Lucknow, February 6: A festive occasion turned into a tragedy in Deli village in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi on Thursday, February 5, when a 62-year-old man died of a sudden heart attack during his niece's wedding. The deceased, identified as Harimohan Sen, collapsed while walking toward the stage as the family was finalising marriage preparations. The entire incident was captured on the wedding garden’s CCTV cameras.

The victim's nephew, Pankaj Sen, stated that his uncle had traveled to the Deli village marriage garden specifically to attend the wedding of his sister's daughter. According to family members, Harimohan appeared healthy throughout the morning before suddenly slumping to the ground while moving through the venue. The CCTV video installed at the venue shows Harimohan Sen walking steadily through the garden before losing consciousness and falling forward. Once the family realized he was unresponsive, they alerted the authorities.

A call was placed to the emergency 112 helpline, and a police team arrived shortly after. Police officials assisted the family in rushing Harimohan to the district hospital. However, upon arrival, attending doctors declared him dead on arrival. Medical professionals confirmed that the cause of death was a massive cardiac arrest.

Shivsagar Singh, the station in-charge of Dongri police, confirmed that they received a report regarding a man falling sick at the marriage garden. "A police team reached the spot immediately and moved the individual to the hospital, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead by the medical staff," Singh said.
