New Delhi, August 7: Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj died on Tuesday after suffering a sudden major heart attack. The entire nation is mourning the demise of the beloved leader. According to Times Now report, an hour before Swaraj passed away, she asked Harish Salve, the lawyer who represented India at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to come and meet her on Wednesday at 6 pm to collect his fee Re 1, pertaining to the case. Salve, as quoted in the report, said, "I spoke to her at 8:50 pm. It was a very emotional conversation. She said you have to come and meet me. I have to give you your one rupee for the case which you won. I said, of course, I have to come to collect that precious fee. She said to come at 6 o'clock,"

Last month, in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, ICJ had ordered Pakistan to grant consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav without further delay and undertake an "effective review and reconsideration" of the conviction and sentence awarded to him. Pakistan finally had to relent and announce consular access to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav.

The last rites of the veteran leader will be performed today at Lodhi Road electric crematorium. At 3 pm, Swaraj's body will be taken to Lodhi Road crematorium where her funeral will be performed with full state honours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of Swaraj, lauding her services in helping Indians abroad.
