Hyderabad, December 26:  The state government has increased the retirement age of RTC employee from 58 years to 60 years. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao signed the file on Wednesday and orders were issued. The enhancement in the age would be applicable to employees of all categories, according to a Times of India report.

The CM had made this promise recently when he met with the representatives of TSRTC employees recently and Wednesday’s orders are in tune with the promise which was made by him. Telangana Govt Sacks 48,000 Employees of State Road Transport Corporation For Not Calling Off Strike.

K Chandrasekhar Rao had recently fired over 48,000 employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) after they had declared an indefinite strike. Chief Minister justified the action by calling it an "unpardonable crime" and he took the action as he was infuriated at the strike.
