Telangana Man Burnt Alive in Adraspalli Village on Suspicion of Performing Black Magic

Hyderabad, September 20: In a shocking incident, a man in Telangana was burnt alive on the pyre of a woman on the suspicion of performing black magic on her. Reports inform that a 24-year old man was allegedly beaten and burnt alive on the pyre of a woman by her relatives who suspected him to have performed black magic on her. Shamirpet police inspector B Naveen Reddy was quoted in the HT report saying that incident came to light after the victim's family members lodged a complaint stating the man was harassed and beaten up. The man identified as Boyini Anjaneyulu is an unemployed youth of Adraspalli. The report states that he was burnt alive by the kin of a woman named Gara Lakshmi (45), a housewife from the same village. The family members of the woman claimed that he had performed black magic on her which led to her sudden death on Wednesday morning.

The man went missing in the evening and his footwear was found near the pyre of Lakshmi, who was cremated. The family members of the woman told police that she had been ailing for a long time but her family members suspected that Anjaneyulu had practiced black magic on her. The report states that after the family found his footwear near the pyre, the family members pulled out his half-burnt body from the pyre and informed the police. The investigation into the matter is currently underway.
