Thane, February 16: In a bizarre case, a 20-year-old man was arrested near Thane railway station for allegedly kidnapping a three-year-old toddler. The accused identified as Suraj Singh Dara Singh was trapped by police on Friday. According to the Times of India report, Singh abducted a toddler from Sahydar Nagar in Ulhasnagar on Thursday evening. Soon after his abduction, a missing complaint was filed at a local police station. On investigation, police found that Singh is in love with the toddler's aunt and visited her on Thursday morning at Vitthalwadi. Love is Love! Later, the accused called the toddler's aunt and asked her to meet him alone or else he would kill the child. The police laid a trap to arrest the accused by sending the child's aunt to Thane railway station to meet him. When Singh came to meet her, police arrested him, reported TOI.

The toddler was safely rescued and was handed over to its parents. TOI further claimed that the accused was in love with the aunt. In a bid to impress her, Singh shifted to Vitthalwadi from Surat, where the aunt was living earlier.
