Chandrapur, November 27: In a tragic incident, a tiger was found dead in Dhaba village forest area, in Gondpipari, in Chandrapur district on Wednesday morning. More details in this news are awaited.

Earlier this month, a tiger was trapped between some rocks in a river in Chandrapur district after getting injured. According to reports, the striped animal received spinal injuries after jumping 35 feet off the bridge and was found stranded between the rocks in Sirna river near Kunada village, located around 27 km from here. In July this year, a tigress and her two cubs were found dead in Chandrapur district with forest officials suspecting the big cats could have succumbed to poisoning. The deaths occurred after the tigress and the cubs — a male and a female — devoured a dead calf that was apparently poisoned by a farmer.
