Bengaluru, December 29: Pejavara Mutt Seer Vishwesha Teertha Swami died at the age of 88 years in the Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt on Sunday. The renowned was admitted to KMC Hospital for treatment and was brought back to Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt on early Sunday morning as per his last wish. He later died at the Mutt, following which the spread like wild fire.

Suffering from a critical illness, the hospital had made special arrangements of ventilator and ICU units for the seer at the Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt. Since morning, saints and seers were parying for the speedy recovery of of Vishwesha Teertha Swami, where junior seer Udupi Pejawar Adhokshaja mutts along with others was seen chanting Vishnu Sahasranamam. It is to be known that Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Pejawar Mutt was admitted to Kasturba Hospital on December 20 and was kept on life support with his condtions deteriorating. After being brought back to the Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt on early Sunday morning, former Union Minister Uma Bharti was seem at the Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt.

With the demise of Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt seer Vishwesha Teertha Swami, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa expressed his condeolences and said, "May Lord Krishna grant salvation to his soul. I would pray for the devotees to give them the strength to overcome their pain."
