Agra, January 4: In a shocking incident, a young girl who was soon to get married was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh earlier this week. According to a report, the horrific incident took place in a village in Agra where three men first kidnapped the woman and then raped her. The victim, a 23-year old girl, was later sent for medical examination. According to a report by Hindustan Times, a case under section 323 (causing injuries), 307 (attempt to murder) and 376 D (gangrape) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered in the matter. Class 9 Student Attempts Suicide After Gang Rape in Bihar.

According to SP Akhilesh Narain, the girl was found missing since 7.30am on Tuesday morning. The report states that on Wednesday the family members of the victim came to Achhnera police station to lodge a complaint about the missing girl, but the complaint was later taken back after the girl was back home on Wednesday at about 3.30 pm. The HT report further informs that a day after the girl came back home, the family member went to the police station and alleged that the girl was kidnapped from near her house and was gang-raped.

The report further informs that the girl told her family members that she was allegedly burnt when she threatened the culprits of action. The victim also had burn marks on her hands and head. Police informed that a search has been launched for the culprits who have fled the village. The SP informed that one culprit is a 42-year-old man who runs a school in the village while the other works in a cable connection business. The identity of the third person is yet to be ascertained.
