VRS Granted With Relaxed Notice Period

Appointed Chief Information Commissioner
A separate notification issued by the General Administration Department confirmed that Kumar has been appointed Chief Information Commissioner (CIC), with the appointment taking effect "from the date of assuming charge." Official sources indicated that Kumar is likely to take up his new assignment only after completing treatment for his medical issues. Preeta Verma Continues As Acting DGP
Preeta Verma, also a 1991-batch IPS officer, had taken over as Acting DGP earlier this month after Kumar proceeded on leave. She is likely to continue in the post "till further orders," officials said.
