Mumbai, October 16: The special court in Mumbai, earlier last month, rejected the bail plea of Indrani Mukerjea, accused of murdering her daughter Sheena Bora with her husband Peter Mukerjea. Today, she argued herself before the special court and said, "Will CBI take responsibility if I die?. She made this statement after her bail plea was rejected by CBI multiple times.

Indrani has several times filed a bail plea on the grounds of poor health and cited that she is facing severe illness. Indrani who is lodged in Byculla jail, earlier in September, was admitted to JJ Hospital after she complained of double vision, headache, and restlessness. Doctors examining her said that she is facing hypertension and cervical spondylitis.

Indirani is accused of killing her 24-year-old daughter Sheena Bora in April 2012. The crime came to light in August 2015 after her driver Shyamvar Rai was arrested by police for a different case and during interrogation, he disclosed about Sheena's murder. Her husband Peter Mukerjea and former husband Sanjeev Khanna are co-accused in the case.
