Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with the beneficiaries of its flagship Digital India scheme via the NaMo App at 9.30 am. This was his fourth such outreach programme with beneficiaries of government schemes through video conferencing.  Speaking about the success of Digital India, according to an ANI report, PM said, "We launched Digital India with a very simple focus- to ensure more people can benefit from the joys of technology, especially in rural areas."

Modi further said, "Due to technology railway tickets can be booked online, bills can be paid online...all this brings great convenience. We ensured that the advantages of technology are not restricted to a select few but to are there for all sections of society."

On June 7, Prime Minister interacted with the beneficiaries of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana (PMJAY)’– a government initiative that provides medicines at affordable prices, via NaMo app. The PM has also interacted with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana through video conferencing in the past.
