Mumbai/Chandigarh, October 24: Counting of votes is currently underway across all assembly constituencies of Maharashtra and Haryana. As per the first trends which have emerged by 8:30 am, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance seemed to be heading towards a decisive win in Maharashtra. In Haryana, a BJP sweep appeared likely as per the early leads. Stay tuned here for the live real time updates of assembly elections 2019 results.

The updates were yet to be out on the Election Commission website, but trends have started to emerge from the counting centres. By the time this report was published, NDTV showed the BJP leading in 35 seats in Maharashtra, followed by 13 leads for its ally Shiv Sena. The Congress and the NCP were ahead in 13 and 9 seats, respectively.

On TV9 Marathi, the BJP-Sena alliance was shown to be leading in 71 constituencies, whereas, the Congress-NCP combine were ahead in 36 assembly segments. The  Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and Raj Thackeray's MNS were ahead in 1 seat each.

For Haryana, ABP News showed a lead for the BJP in 32 out of the 90 seats, whereas, the Congress was ahead in 8 assembly segments. The JJP was said to be ahead in 2 constituencies. According to NDTV, the BJP was ahead in 22 seats of Haryana, whereas, the Congress has gained lead in 8 constituencies.
