Lucknow, June 24: Bahujan Samaj Party Chief, Mayawati in a series of tweet on Monday announced that her party will contest all alone in the future elections. This development comes a day after BSP's meet in Lucknow, where she criticised Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party for being against the non-Yadav backward communities when he was Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. She also accused SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav of falsely charging her in Taj corridor case. ‘Akhilesh Didn’t Call After Poll Loss’, Says BSP Supremo Mayawati, Attacks Mulayam Yadav for Framing Her in Taj Case.

"It is known that all our old grievances with the SP were kept aside, along with the anti-Dalit and ant-BSP decisions taken by the SP government between 2012-17, works carried out that were against reservation in promotion and deteriorating law and order situation - were all kept aside and an alliance was formed in public interest which was honoured completely," Mayawati said in a tweet. In another, she said, "But after the Lok Sabha general election, the attitude of the SP compels BSP to think whether it will be possible to defeat the BJP in the future. Hence, for the sake of the party and the movement, the BSP will now fight all elections - big or small - by itself."

On Sunday, Mayawati said that Akhilesh didn't even call her after the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections defeat. "After the mahagathbandhan lost the elections, I received no call from Akhilesh. BSP general secretary Satish Mishra asked him to speak to me, but he just wouldn't listen. But because I am senior to him, I called him up instead and expressed sadness over his family members losing," she said.

BSP supremo also accused Akhilesh Yadav of discriminating on the basis of caste. "When I was handing out tickets for the Lok Sabha election, Akhilesh sent a message through Satish Mishra that I should not give tickets to Muslims to prevent polarisation of votes. But I did not agree," she said. In 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, BSP-SP won just 15 seats, while BJP won 64.
