Patna, May 23: Giriraj Singh, who was pitted against CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar from the Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency 2019, is headed for a huge victory against student leader turned politician Kanhaiya Kumar. Kanhaiya Kumar is a former president of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union. Kanhaiya is also a leader of the All India Students Federation, which is a left wing students organization. Giriraj Singh, a controversial figure often in news for his comments on nationalism and minorities, was also booked by the Election Commission for violation of the Model Code of Conduct for his comments at a rally. He was barred from campaigning for 48 hours and warned by the ELection Commission to be "careful" in the future regarding his remarks.
