Gujarat Exit Poll Results And Predictions For Lok Sabha Elections 2019: BJP Set to Sweep State, May Win All 26 Constituencies

Ahmedabad, May 19: The exit poll results have predicted a massive victory for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat. The exit poll results of Lok Sabha elections 2019 for all constituencies of Gujarat are out. In Gujarat, as per exit poll predictions by News24-Today's Chanakya, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is predicted to win 24-26 seats, while the Congress is predicted to win 0-2 seats.  According to NDTV's poll of poll survey, BJP is predicted to win in 24 seats while Congress may settle for just 2 of the 26 seats.

The India Today-Axis My India exit poll has revealed that the BJP will win a maximum of 26 and a minimum of 24 seats in Gujarat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections while the Congress is predicted to win 0-2 seats. In the last elections held in 2014, the BJP had won all the 26 seats in Gujarat. Here are The Predictions by Pollsters in Gujarat:

As many as 371 candidates are in fray for the 26 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Polling in all the 26 parliamentary constituencies in Gujarat were held in a single phase on April 23. Polling in the state was held in the third of the seven-phased elections.  The third phase of Lok Sabha polls saw the largest-ever deployment of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and voter-verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines across 2.11 lakh polling stations spread over 13 states and 2 Union Territories, the Election Commission (EC) said.

In Kutch, BJP has fielded Vinod Lakhamashi Chavda, while the Congress has given a ticket to Naresh Naranbhai Maheshwari from Kachchh. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has given its ticket to Lakhubhai Vaghela from Kachchh.

In Banaskantha, the BJP has fielded Parbat Patel, dropping sitting MP Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary while the Congress has fielded Parthibhai Bhatol from this constituency.

In Patan, the key candidates in the constituency for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are Dabhi Bharatsinhji Shankarji of BJP and Jagdish Thakor of the Congress party.

In Mahesana, there is a tough fight between Shardaben Anilbhai Patel of BJP, A J Patel of the Congress party and Chauhan Prahladbhai Natthubhai of the BSP.

In Sabarkantha, the key candidates are BJP's Dipsinh Shankarsinh Rathod and Rajendrasinh Shivsinh Thakor of the Congress party.

The Gandhinagar constituency in the state is the key constituency  from where Amit Shah (BJP) and C.J. Chavda (Congress) are in a tough battle. Gandhinagar is a BJP bastion.

While Chavda is a MLA from Gandhinagar-North, Shah is contesting from the seat has raised interest in the outcome. The BJP would like to win the seat with a good margin. This constituency is currently held by L K Advani of BJP. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, L K Advani beat Kiritbhai Ishvarbhai Patel of Congress by receiving 68.10 per cent of the votes.

In Ahmedabad East, Gitaben Patel of Congress is contesting against Patel Hasmukhbhai Somabhai of BJP. The constituency is currently under the leadership of Paresh Rawal of BJP.

In Ahmedabad West, the key candidates are Dr Kirit P Solanki of BJP and Raju Parmar of the Congress party. At present, this constituency is held by Dr Kirit P Solanki of BJP.

In Surendranagar, the key candidates in the constituency include Dr Munjapara Mahendrabhai of BJP and Koli Patel Somabhai Gandalal of the Congress party. This constituency is currently held by Devajibhai Govindbhai Fatepara of BJP.

In Rajkot, the key candidates in the constituency include Kundaria Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai of BJP and Kagathara Lalitbhai of the Congress party. The constituency is currently held by Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya of BJP.

In Porbandar, the key candidates in the constituency are Rameshbhai Lavjibhai Dhaduk of BJP and Lalit Vasoya of the Congress party. At present, the constituency is held by Vithalbhai Hansrajbhai Radadiya of BJP.

In Jamnagar, there is a close battle between Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam of BJP and Kandoriya Mulubhai Ranmalbhai of the Congress party. The constituency is currently under the leadership of Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam of BJP.

In Junagadh, the key candidates in this constituency are Chudasama Rajeshbhai Naranbhai of BJP and Vansh Punjabhai Bhimabhai of the Congress party. This constituency is currently held by Chudasama Rajeshbhai Naranbhai of BJP.

In Amreli, the key candidates in this constituency for are Kachhadiya Naranbhai Bhikhabhai of BJP and Paresh Dhanani of the Congress party.

In Bhavnagar, the key candidates in this constituency for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are Dr Bharatiben Dhirubhai Shiyal of BJP and Patel Manharbhai Nagjibhai (Vasani) of the Congress party.

In Anand, the key candidates in this constituency are Patel Mitesh Rameshbhai (Bakabhai) of BJP and Bharatbhai Madhavsinh Solanki of the Congress party.

In Kheda, the key candidates in this constituency are Chauhan Devusinh of BJP and Bimal Shah of the Congress party. It is currently held by Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan of BJP.

Gujarat has 4,51,52,373 eligible voters, including 10.06 lakh first-time voters and 1.68 lakh divyangs. The maximum number of candidates, 31, will be fighting it out for the Surendranagar Lok Sabha constituency, and the minimum six contestants are in the fray for the Panchmahals seat.

With the third phase, voting will be completed in all seats of Gujarat, Kerala, Goa, Karanataka, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The seven-phase Lok Sabha elections started on April 11 and would conclude on May 19. Counting of votes will take place on May 23. In the 2014 polls, the BJP had won all the 26 seats in the state.
