New Delhi, September 18: With just days remaining for the 'Howdy Modi' event in the Houston, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to address people along with United States of America's President Donald Trump, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at the Premier and mocked him on the current economic crisis of India.

Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister, Rahul took to Twitter and wrote, "'Howdy' economy doin', Mr Modi? Ain’t too good it seems." He even tagged #HowdyEconomy to mock the Modi government, which is reeling under pressure to bring back the Indian economy on track. It is to be known that for Narendra Modi’s mega-event "Howdy Modi" at the sprawling NRG Stadium in Houston on September 22, over 60 prominent US lawmakers, including first American Hindu Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi are expected to attend. However, Rahul Gandhi -- taking a swipe at PM Modi -- comes at a time when the Gross Domestic Product rate is limping at 5 percent, and the economic crisis has gripped almost every sector in the country. Though Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a slew of measures, looks like the crisis would take some months to recover.
