India Today-Axis Exit Poll Results of Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2018:

Voting in the 199 constituencies of Rajasthan was held earlier in the day, with 72.7 percentage of voter turnout being recorded by the Election Commission till 5 pm. The polling was conducted smoothly in most parts of the state, with no instance of violence or major ruckus being reported.

The poll battle in Rajasthan was one of the most bitterly contested, with the BJP and the Congress leaving no stone unturned to lambaste each other. The issues which were part of the poll rhetoric included unemployment, water scarcity, law and order, national security, as well as the "Hindu credentials" of both the major parties.

In the last elections held in 2013, the BJP had swept Rajasthan with over a three-fourth majority. The Vasundhara Raje-led party won 163 seats in the state, whereas, the then incumbent Congress was reduced to only 21 constituencies. Has Rajasthan once against voted out the incumbents? Find out on December 11, when the Election Commission of India will declare the results of the five-state assembly elections.
