Jalore is one of the key Lok Sabha constituencies of Rajasthan and is spread over Jalore and Sirohi districts. The voting for the parliamentary polls 2019 on this seat will take place in the fourth phase on April 29. Currently, it comprises of eight assembly seats  - Jalore, Sirohi, Sanchore, Pindwara - Abu, Raniwara, Ahore, Bhinmal and Reodar. In 2014 election, BJP candidate B. Susheela had won from Jalore Lok Sabha Constituency defeating Congress candidate Sardar Buta Singh with a margin of around 39,000 votes. Meanwhile, in 2009 elections also, Patel had bagged the seat on the BJP ticket.

On March 10, the Election Commission of India announced dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The elections will take place in seven phases, and the results will be declared on May 23. The polls will be held in 1,035,918 polling stations across the country compared to 928,000 set up during the last Lok Sabha election in 2014.
