New Delhi, March 10: The Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will take place in the country in the months of April and May. The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced the General Elections 2019 schedule, bringing into effect the Model Code of Conduct. Voting will take place for the 543 Lok Sabha seats in seven phases between April 11 and May 19. Voting for Phase II of the Parliamentary Polls will take place on April 18, a week after voting for Phase I. Under the second phase, voting will be held for 97 seats across 13 states. Along with Lok Sabha elections, the second phase voting for Odisha Assembly Elections 2019 will also take place on the same date. A total of 900 million voters are registered across the country as compared to 814.5 million in Lok Sabha Elections 2014.
