New Delhi, April 10, With the release of BJP manifesto, in which it claimed to abrogate Article 370, political discourse over the issue is gaining momentum with each passing day. Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday advised National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah to engage in meaningful discussion rather than giving threatening talks.

With Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav appealing for bail on health grounds ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2019, the CBI told the Supreme Court on Tuesday it should be denied as the leader has been not sentenced to 3.5 years but 27.5 years in jail if all punishments are calculated cumulatively.
