New Delhi, April 22: Voting for phase-III of the Lok Sabha elections will take place on April 23. A total of 116 parliamentary seats are going for polls across 12 states and two union territories. The polling will begin at 7 am. Of the 116 seats going to polls on Tuesday, 26 are in Gujarat, 20 in Kerala, 14 in Karnataka, 14 in Maharashtra, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, six in Odisha, five each in Bihar and West Bengal, four in Assam, two in Goa and one each in Jammu & Kashmir, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.Ā Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Schedule: Voting In 7 Phases From April 11 to May 19, Counting And Results On May 23; Check All Dates For General Elections.

The last date of filing nominations for the second phase was April 4. The scrutiny of nominations papers took place on April 5. Meanwhile, the last date of withdrawal of candidature was April 8. Apart from Lok Sabha elections, assembly elections are also taking place in Odisha. In the third phase, 41 assembly seats out of 147 are going for polls. Ahead of the third phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019, the sale of liquor will be banned for a 48-hour period. The ban will be lifted with the conclusion of voting in the respective constituencies. The 48-hour ban on alcohol sale kickstarted from 5 pm on Sunday and would continue till 6 pm on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the campaigning for the third phase of elections ended on Sunday at 5 pm.

Voting for the General Elections 2019 will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19. The election results of all phases will be announced together after counting of votes on May 23. The Model Code of Conduct has come into effect from March 10.
