Mumbai, October 4: Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday addressed a joint press conference where Fadnavis made it clear that the BJP will fight on 150 seats out of the 288 seats. The announcement by the Maharashtra chief minister comes after Shiv Sena had made it clear that it will contest on 124 seats. 14 seats have been reserved for the allies, declared Fadnavis. Also, Fadnavis spoke on Aaditya Thackeray's entry in the electoral fray and said that he is confident Aaditya Thackeray will do well. "I am confident that Aditya Thackeray will win by a very huge margin in the elections and we will see him with us in the assembly," said Fadnavis. Fadnavis also sounded an alarm for the rebels of the grand alliance and said that, "In the coming days we will ask all the rebel candidates to withdraw and this will be done with the rebel candidates of each party of grand alliance.If they don’t comply then they will not get any position in any of our alliance parties."

While Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray, speaking on speculations if Aditya Thackeray will be the Shiv Sena candidate for the CM's post, said that, "The first step in politics doesn’t mean that you have to become the Chief Minister of this state. He has just entered politics, this is just the beginning."
