Along with Khattar, two deputy CM’s are likely to take oath. According to reports, one of the deputy CM could be Anil Vij and the second one will be from Jannayak Janata Party (JJP). Earlier, reports surfaced that, Naina Chautala, mother of JPP President Dushyant Chautala will take oath as the deputy CM. In the recently concluded assembly elections, Haryana witnessed a fractured mandate. The BJP secured 40 seats, falling short of six seats from the majority mark. The Congress doubled its tally in these elections. The grand old party bagged 31 seats. Unexpectedly, the newly-formed JPP won 10 seats, holding the key in the government formation.

Meanwhile, seven independents also extended support to the saffron party. Haryana Lokhit Congress leader Gopal Kanda also supported the BJP, but the saffron party decided not to include the tainted MLA’s name in the list of MLAs supporting it, after an outrage.
