Patna, March 3: Prime Minister Narendra Modi kick-started his 2019 Lok Sabha Election campaign in Bihar, at a rally in Patna and said that the Opposition parties and Congress is "demoralising" the armed forces by asking proof of the Air Strike on terror camps just like they did when the defence forces conducted surgical strikes across the border. The Prime Minister also claimed that the Congress and its "sahyogi" parties have been giving comments which are benefiting the enemies of the country.

PM Modi, speaking on the recent Indian Air Force (IAF) bombing on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camps in Balakot, Pakistan, said that India does not sit quiet now at the martyrdom of its soldiers, instead it now makes the culprits pay for every crime. "Ab Bharat apne veer jawano ke balidaan par chup nahi baithta, chun chun kar hisaab leta hai," said the PM at the rally.

Talking on the personal allegations of corruption made on him by Rahul Gandhi in the Rafale deal, the PM said that, "These days a competition is underway to abuse the 'Chowkidaar', but you be assured, this 'Chowkidaar' of yours is as alert as ever(sic)"

Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shared dais at the political rally after a decade. Both had come together last time at a rally in 2009 in Ludhiana in Punjab. Security was heightened at the Sankalp rally in Gandhi Maidan considering the rally.
