New Delhi, April 29: Congress President Rahul Gandhi has expressed regret over his remark on the Supreme Court's comment on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his affidavit but has refused to tender an apology. Gandhi also said that BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi and PM Modi were trying to politicise his comments. Gandhi said that he regrets attributing his comments to the Supreme Court. However, Gandhi made it very clear that he does not regret his comment on the Prime Minister. The Supreme Court had made it clear that the remarks made by Rahul Gandhi in the media on the Rafale case verdict were "incorrectly attributed" to the apex court and directed the Congress President to give his explanation by April 22. The top court gave a categorical clarification that in its Rafale judgement there was no occasion for it to make a mention of the alleged contemptuous observation that "Chowkidar Narendra Modi chor hain" as has been attributed to it by Gandhi.
