Mumbai, January 3: With the All India Congress Seva Dal creating controversy over alleged Vinayak Damodar Savarkar's 'homosexual relationship' with Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse, Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha president Swami Chakrapani sparked a row by calling senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi a 'homosexual'.

Replying on the book titled ‘Veer Savarkar Kitne Veer? (Veer Savarkar, How Brave?)’ -- being distributed at Seva Dal national training camp in Bhopal’s Bairagarh on Thursday, Chakrapani said, as quoted by news agency ANI, "These are ridiculous allegations against former Mahasabha President Savarkar ji. Similarly we have also heard that Rahul Gandhi is homosexual." Vinayak Savarkar Had 'Physical Relations' With Mahatma Gandhi's Assassin Nathuram Godse, Claims MP Congress's Booklet.

Earlier on Thursday, during the ten-days All India Congress Seva Dal training camp in Bhopal, booklets were distributed which claimed that Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse had a physical relationship with former Hindu Mahasabha president Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.

It is to be known that the mentions of Savarkar having physical relationship with Godse could be found in the page 14 of of the controversial booklet ‘Veer Savarkar Kitne Veer’ (How Brave was Savarkar?. Following this, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut said, "Veer Savarkar was a great man and will remain a great man. A section keeps talking against him, it shows the dirt in their mind, whoever they might be."
