The results for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2019 will be announced today. The counting of votes for the 175 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh Assembly began at 8 am and the final list of winners is expected to be out by the end of the day on Thursday. Voting for Rajahmundry City, Rajam, Rajampet, Rajamundry Rural, Rajanagaram Vidhan Sabha seats took place on April 11 in Phase 1. In Andhra Pradesh, the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is facing stiff competition from the YSR Congress Party.

In the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2014, Akula Satyanarayana of theĀ BJP had won the election from Rajahmundry City.Ā The candidates on this seat for the 2019Ā polls areĀ Bommula Srinivasa Murali Aravala Rao Dattu of the BJP, Adireddy Bhavani of the TDP,Ā Boda L Venkata Prasanna of the Congress andĀ Routhu Surya Prakasa Rao of the YSRCP.

TheĀ Rajam seat was won in 2014 AP Assembly Polls by Kambala Jogulu of the YSRCP, who will fight from the same seat this election as well. The other candidates areĀ Kambala Rajavardhana of the Congress, Kondru Murali Mohan of the TDP and Chaitanya Kumar Mannena of the BJP.

TheĀ Rajampet seat was won in 2014 by Meda Venkata Mallikarjuna Reddy of the TDP, who will also be fighting this election, but on a YSRCP ticket. The other candidatesĀ Poola Bhaskar of the Congress,Ā Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu of the BJP andĀ Bathyala Changal Rayudu of the TDP.

The Rajamundry Rural seat was won in 2014 by Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary of the TDP. The candidates for 2019 Assembly poll on this seat are Akula Veerraju of YSRCP,Ā Akula Sridhar of the BJP, Buchayya Chowdari Gorantla of the TDP andĀ Rajavalli Rayudu of the Congress.

TheĀ Rajanagaram seat was won in 2014 by Pendurthi Venkatesh of the TDP, who is contesting in 2019 for a third term. The other candidates areĀ Jakkampudi Raja of the YSRCP,Ā Sodadasi Martin Luther of the Congress andĀ APR Chowdary of the BJP.

Along with Andhra Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Polls, voting will also be held for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 in the state on April 11. The counting of votes will be held on May 23.
