Mumbai, December 17: There have been violent protests taking place across the country against the Citizenship Amendment Act.  Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena on being asked if CAA will be implemented in Maharashtra, he said, "Our Chief Minister (Uddhav Thackeray) will decide on that in the Cabinet meeting."

Commenting on the opposition parties delegation to meet the President over the Citizenship Amendment Act, Raut said, "I do not know about it. Shiv Sena is not part of this delegation." Maharashtra Government to Clear Stance on Citizenship Act After Supreme Court's Decision: Uddhav Thackeray.

According to an ANI report, speaking at an event in Nagpur, Thackeray on Monday highlighted, "There is no clarity regarding how many people will come to our country and from where they will come. He further questioned where these people will stay after coming to India."

Thackeray had earlier expressed that how CAA is an "insult" to V D Savarkar who sought to bring land from the Sindhu river to Kanyakumari under "one country". When Thackeray was asked about the implementation of CAA in Maharashtra, he said, "It is dependent upon the ruling of the supreme court."
