The results for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2019 will be announced today. The counting of votes for the 175 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh Assembly began at 8 am and the final list of winners is expected to be out by the end of the day on Thursday. Voting for Sattenapalli, Satyavedu, Singanamala, Srikakulam, Srikalahasti Vidhan Sabha seats took place on April 11 in Phase 1. In Andhra Pradesh, the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is facing stiff competition from the YSR Congress Party.

In the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2014, Kodela Siva Prasada Rao of the TDP had won the election from Sattenapalli seat. He will be contesting the election this year as well. The other candidates on this seat for the 2019 polls are Chukka Chandrapaul of the Congress, Ambati Rambabu of the YSRCP and Krishnam Raju Maddula of the BJP among others.

The Satyavedu seat was won in 2014 AP Assembly Polls by Talari Aditya Tarachandrakanth of the TDP. The candidates for the 2019 polls on this seat are Jadda Rajasekhar of the TDP, Chandrasekhar Penubala of the Congress, Venkataiah S of the BJP and Adimulam Koneti of the YSR CP.

The Singanamala seat was won in 2014 by B Yamini Bala of the TDP. The candidates for 2019 are Bandaru Sravani Sree of the TDP, Challa Chinna Venkatesu of the BJP, Dr Sake Sailajanath of the Congress and Padmavathy Jonnalagadda of the YSRCP.

The Srikakulam seat was won in 2014 by Gunda Lakshmi Devi of the TDP, who will be fighting the election this year too. The other candidates for 2019 Assembly poll on this seat are Challa Venkateswara Rao of the BJP, Chowdari Satish of the Congress and Dharmana Prasada Rao of the YSRCP among others.

The Srikalahasti seat was won in 2014 by Gopala Krishna Reddy Bojjala of the TDP, who is seeking a sixth term as MP in 2019. The other candidates this election are Madhusudhan Reddy Biyyapu of the YSRCP, S Bathaiah Naidu of the Congress and Anandha Kumar Kola of the BJP.

Along with Andhra Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Polls, voting will also be held for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 in the state on April 11. The counting of votes will be held on May 23.
