Mumbai, March 31: Senior Congress leader and Parliamentary Board Chairperson Sonia Gandhi was discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on Tuesday morning. The 79-year-old veteran leader had been admitted to the facility on the night of March 24 after developing a high fever and experiencing health complications.

According to a statement issued by the hospital, Gandhi has successfully recovered from a systemic infection following a seven-day stay. While she was initially admitted with a fever, investigations were conducted to check for potential infections in the stomach and urinary tract.

The hospital noted that her condition remained stable throughout the week. Medical officials also mentioned that seasonal weather changes and pollution levels in the national capital had mildly aggravated her bronchial asthma, necessitating precautionary observation.
