Patna, June 9: Bihar RJD Leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Tej Pratap Yadav has hinted to quit politics and sparked a row with his tweet. On Saturday, Tej Pratap took to micro-blogging site Twitter and referred to ‘Mahabharata’. He said he is of the opinion that he should leave the empire for Arjun (his brother Tejashwi Yadav).

Tej Pratap (29), who was a Cabinet Minister for Health in Government of Bihar, tweeted in Hindi saying, “Mera sochna hai ki mai Arjun ko Hastinapur ki Gaddi par Bithau aur khud Dwarka Chale Jau” (I am of the opinion that I should hand over politics to elder brother). Dismissing media reports, Tej Pratap said that his brother Tejashwi is very close to him and there is no rift between the Yadav brothers.

RJD is facing a crisis since its president and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav was jailed in connection with fodder scams.  For the unversed, the over Rs 900-crore fodder scam cases are related to the illegal withdrawal of money from government treasury by the animal husbandry department in undivided Bihar in the 1990s when Prasad was the chief minister.

Prasad had been convicted in the first fodder scam case involving the withdrawal of Rs 37.7 crore from Chaibasa treasury on September 30, 2013 and given five years prison term. He faces another two scam cases for illegal withdrawal of Rs 3.97 crore from the Dumka Treasury and Rs 184 crore from the Doranda Treasury.
