It was a big night for Anushka Sharma as she received the honourable Priyadarshini award! Every year, a deserving actor is picked to receive this big honour and we are glad Anushka was the name they chose for 2018. Amidst her busy Sui Dhaaga promotions, she managed to take some time for the awards ceremony that was also attended by Nitin Gadkari. Picking a dark green Chanderi saree for the awards night, Anushka proved how saree can justify a woman's figure the most. However, just while we were busy staring at her numerous pictures from the gala night on our social media account, we came across a post that suggested her look from the night resembled to Deepika's from the past. Well, it certainly did NOT. Sui Dhaaga Star Anushka Sharma Redefines Elegance With Her Green Sari At Priyadarshini Awards! View Pic.

First things first, the jade green kadva weave silk sari worn by Deepika at the Social Summit Awards in November 2017, is nowhere similar to the one opted by Anushka. The choice of motifs and even their designs are strikingly different. Now you folks aren't that immature to say their sarees look similar because hey, their colours are similar! It's foolish and juvenile. The only thing common in them was the fact they were handwoven silk sarees. Nothing else. Not even the designers. When Aaradhya Bachchan’s Pretty Pink Dress Reminded Us of Deepika Padukone.

We have no qualms in pitting one actress against another but the reason should be valid enough. Ironically DP was earlier accused of copying Anushka's look from her engagement bash in Italy. The red Sabyasachi Mukherjee saree with golden embroidery and her hairdo was similar to Anushka and it was right to point it out. However, in this case, it doesn't make any sense so let's not say Anushka copied or borrowed her look for last night. That won't be fair.
