The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Naval Force Alireza Tangsiri has issued a stern warning to international shipping, stating that any vessel seeking to transit the Strait of Hormuz must now obtain formal approval from Iran or risk being targeted.
