Mumbai’s 10% water cut came into effect today, prompting housing societies across the city to introduce conservation measures including banning car washes, limiting gardening water use and considering swimming pool closures. Several residential areas have also increased dependence on private water tankers as authorities seek to preserve reservoir levels ahead of the monsoon.
