It is common how owners adore their pets like crazy and end up doing unexpected things to make the four-legged happy. And it becomes very difficult for us to leave our companions behind even for an hour. Time and again, we have come across many incidents where passengers are seen fighting with crew members for not allowing their domesticated animals to travel along. A few cases might seem funny, but sentiments are rooted deep down in every situation. In Austria, a man appears on the headlines after he boarded his horse at the Federal Railways train. The traveller identified as Benni walked into a train with his horse Frieda in the mountainous, forested Austrian state of Styria. According to reports, he tried to board two trains with his equine buddy on August 22, but the train conductors refused to continue the journey with Frieda on board. Photos appeared on social media when the onlookers could be seen laughing and Frieda trying to adjust in the carriage made for humans. As the images went viral, the Austrian Federal Railways OEBB retweeted it.

The national railway system playfully joked about the situation at first, then warned the people more seriously not to follow the man’s footsteps. Horses were not permitted on trains. “We hope this will stay a one-off,” Austrian news agency APA quoted OEBB official Julianne Pamme. It is not the first time; a horse owner has tried to board a train with their four-legged friend. SBS News recalled a 2011 incident when a man was captured on CCTV lead his pony along a Wales train platform in the United Kingdom. He bought two tickets for himself and the animal. Unfortunately, like Freida, even it was denied being too big for train travel by conductors.
