New Delhi, November 27: No matter which mobile network you use, we all face issues while making calls or simply using the internet during a train journey. To get rid of this, union minister Babul Supriyo took a unique way when he was travelling on Rajdhani express. Babul Supriyo brought his pet pug along with him on a Rajdhani, hoping that the Vodafone network would follow him too.
"I took my Puggie Eddie with me on Rajdhani hoping Vodafone network wud follow him though the journey - after All he is their Brand Ambassador that's what they claim in their commercials!! (sic)" wrote Supriyo in his hilarious tweet, sharing two absolutely adorable pictures of his pet dog. The BJP MP was making a reference to Cheeka the pug, who featured in iconic "You & I" advertising campaign.
In its response to Supriyo's tweet, Vodafone tweeted: "Hi, that’s sad to hear. We strive to provide good network all the time. Getting someone from the team to call you right away and sending loads of love for Eddie!"

In the advertisement by Hutch/Vodafone, Cheeka would follow an eight-year-old boy wherever he went. "Wherever you go, our network follows," reads the tagline of the mobile network. The pug eventually became the face of Hutch/Vodafone. Supriyo's tweeted brought back the memory of the popular pug, even as Twitter users didn't miss the chance to troll Vodafone.
🤣🤣🤣... It seems u’ve misunderstood d ad. They claim-“where ever YOU go,he will follow..” And it does.. He was with u,throughout d journey..

Babul Sir, Vodafone's network was present on the train following your Rajdhani. Vodafone's network always claimed to follow you but never claimed to be with you. 😂
