"Faith brought me to Vaishno Devi Bhawan. Finding a cockroach in my food here was the last thing I expected. Hygiene and food safety at such a sacred place should never be compromised. I hope the concerned authorities take immediate action so that no other devotee has to face this," Bhola's post on Instagram read. The individual filmed the contaminated food item in its original packaging immediately adjacent to the service desk to verify the point of purchase. A follow-up video shows the vendor denying the presence of a cockroach inside the sandwich and later seen eating the same. In the end, Bhola said that he sent a formal legal complaint to Coffee Day Beverages and sought an investigation, accountability, and appropriate compensation for serving contaminated food. "Now I await their response. If a satisfactory resolution is not provided, I will take the matter before the appropriate authorities and the Consumer Commission," his post added.
