Bhopal, August 4: Everyone loves a picnic, even elephants. If you believe that picnic and outings are purely human pursuits, think again. A seven-day picnic is arranged for elephants in Madhya Pradesh, at the Kanha National Park. According to the forest officers, the picnic is organised for the elephants so that they can have some "family" time.

And no, it is not just a picnic for sight-seeing. A range officer, was quoted saying by news agency ANI that the elephants are given a mega feast as per a diet menu. He also added that the elephants are pampered with head and body massage. The officer termed the seven-day long picnic for the elephants as a health camp conducted for the medical check-up.
