The original Iron Man suit worn by actor Robert Dawney Jr. wore in the first Iron Man movie in 2008 has been stolen. The red and gold suit costing about $325,000 was stolen from Movie Prop Storage in Pacoima, Los Angeles. Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the disappearance of the iconic costume. Iron Man, started the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it also went on to become the highest grossing franchise.

The first Iron Man film had made $580 million and turned Dawney Jr.'s image. Although the suit may have undergone a transformation in franchises the original one remains just as special. Iron Man kicked off the Marvel mania among the people. The workers at the prop house have alleged that the costume must have gone missing between February and April 25.“It was reported by the storage facility that the prop was missing. It is considered a burglary,” Sargent Barry Montgomery of the LAPD confirmed. The employees at the warehouse just happened to check in the warehouse and found that the costume was gone.

It is not yet clear who may have stolen the suit and no other items were reported missing. The incident is being investigated by the LAPD's Foothill Division. Investigators said the head, chest, leg and arms of the crimson and gold suit are missing. The latest version of the costume in Avengers: Infinity War - was made out of nanobytes that enveloped his body with a touch of a button. It is a disappointing thing to know that something so iconic which fueled the entire mania has just disappeared. What's more shocking is the theft took place months back but the complaint has been filed now. Tony Stark will definitely not be happy.
