Bengaluru, July 24: A man had ordered a 20gm gold coin from e-commerce platform Flipkart but got just an empty box delivered to him. The private firm employee informed the police and a case has been registered against Flipkart and PVC Logistics. Amit Kumar Garg, 33-year-old had placed an order for the gold coin on December 8, 2017 and even made a payment on 61,755.

Garg got his parcel in 20 days and he checked it in front of the delivery boy. It was an empty box! When he asked the delivery boy from PVC Logistics, he suggested contacting the Flipkart helpline. The e-commerce company told him they would verify his complaint but there was no positive response from them. He then approached the HAL police station and filed a complaint against the e-commerce company and also the logistics. The police will look into the matter and find out where the gold coin went missing.

This is not the first time, the e-commerce platform has screwed up its deliveries. The site had delivered a wrong bed to another guy in Bengaluru in the month of May. Another man had ordered a pair of earphones but got delivered an oil bottle. Among many such incidents, one that totally beat all is delivery of a detergent soap instead of an iPhone 8 to a customer in Mumbai. Talking about it Flipkart was quoted, the company has a zero-tolerance policy on customer trust impacting incidents, and they would investigate into the incident and will resolve the matter. Looks like, Flipkart once again needs to be reminded of its own policies.
