A Frenchwoman had to face an uncomfortable situation on a train when a man sitting opposite to her started masturbating. Natacha Bras, a 37-year-old, filmed the man and posted the video online, which soon went viral. But while the rail operators replied and apologised for her inconvenience, she fears she could be the one facing a bigger punishment than him --  for breaching privacy! Bras was one a train journey from Paris to Poitiers, when a man allegedly changed seats so that he could sit closer to her. He then started masturbating and maintained eye contact with her, for most of the journey. She filmed him and put out the video without blurring the face. In the next tweets, she mentioned that the man also followed her to the washroom. She filmed the video as a way to defend herself. The rail operators SNCF replied to the tweet and asked her to report it to the Chief of Flight or the emergency service. Bras made several videos of the shocking encounter. While Ms Bras later mentioned that she has filed a complained against the man. But while she spoke about it on Twitter, she expressed concern about her facing a bigger punishment for putting out the video.

According to a French magazine L'Obs, the perpetrator could be jailed for up to one year and receive a €15,000 at maximum. She, however, could face a fine of €45,000 for breaching his privacy, as she put it up without his consent. While she raised the concern, she mentioned that she has filed a complaint as well. It is indeed shocking if she does end up getting fined more than the perpetrator.
