Dongfeng's premium electric vehicle brand Voyah has successfully executed a full 360-degree tunnel loop stunt using its upcoming Passion S electric functional utility vehicle. Recorded at a closed testing facility in Wuhan, the high-stakes manoeuvre serves as a direct modern tribute to a famous commercial filmed 16 years ago featuring racing legend Michael Schumacher and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

To conquer gravity, the Passion S had to accelerate to a critical velocity of approximately 130 km/h and enter the curved tunnel wall at a precise steering angle of 16 degrees.
Maintaining precise momentum was vital throughout the sequence, as a minor drop in speed would cause the vehicle to lose traction and detach from the ceiling. The successful execution relied heavily on calculated centrifugal forces paired with instant torque delivery from the electric motors.
Powertrain Performance and Electric Efficiency
Powering the high-performance manoeuvre is a dual-motor four-wheel-drive layout generating a combined output of 475 kW, equivalent to 637 horsepower, alongside a peak torque of 765 Newton-metres.
