Vegetarian Memes and Jokes (Photo Credits: Instagram)

Every year, World Vegetarian Day is celebrated on October 1 across the globe. The history of the day dedicated to vegetarianism dates back to 1977 when the North American Vegetarian Society started it. The idea was endorsed by the International Vegetarian Union in 1978. The main aim is to "to promote the joy, compassion and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism." The day aims to bring awareness to the ethical, environmental, health, and humanitarian benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle. While vegetarianism has a lot of health benefits, many people don't find vegetarian food appealing and in turn, make fun of people who eat veg food and vice versa. And we who really love all kinds of memes can't help but LOL our lungs out at these funny jokes online. Here are light-hearted, funny memes on World Vegetarian Day that will make every vegetarian go "Yaaas!":

November 1 is celebrated as World Vegan Day. Many people tend to confuse veganism and vegetarianism. What’s the difference between vegetarianism and veganism? While both veganism and vegetarianism believe in shunning meat, unlike vegetarianism, veganism is not just a diet, it is a pledge to prevent all sorts of cruelty towards living beings. Not to mention, a lot of vegan memes are also quite popular and we are not talking about the ones that mock vegans.
