Now, on May 15, Kangana Ranaut's production house, Manikarnika Films, took to their social media handle to announce that the upcoming political drama will have a new release date as the actress is currently occupied with the election campaign. They wrote, "As she prioritises her duty to the nation and her commitment to serve the country, the release date of our much-awaited film has been postponed. We promise to update you soon with a new release date."  Emergency is helmed by Kangana Ranaut and produced by Zee Studios and Mnaikarnika Films.
