Actor Riteish Deshmukh attended the funeral of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in Baramati to pay his final respects. Pawar passed away in a tragic plane crash on January 28, 2026 and his last rites were conducted with full state honours on Thursday. Several political leaders, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, were present at the ceremony held at Vidya Pratishthan. Thousands of people gathered as Pawar’s mortal remains, wrapped in the national flag, were brought from Katewadi, with chants filling the air.
