Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray on September 25 revealed that theatres will reopen and function normally from October 22. As soon as this news was out, Rohit Shetty thanked the CM and announced that Sooryavanshi will release on Diwali 2021. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
