He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday, May 6, amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. A video of Shekhar Suman talking about supporting the BJP's Mandi candidate, Kangana Ranaut, is going viral. The reporter in the video asked the Heeramandi actor if he would lend support to Kangana Ranaut for an election campaign.To which he replied, "Agar bulayenge to kyon nahi jaenge, bilkul jaenge.
