Nine people were injured on Sunday night in Mumbai's Lalbaug area when a BEST bus lost control after a drunk passenger, Datta Shinde, grabbed the steering wheel during an argument with the driver. The bus, on route 66 to Sion, collided with three vehicles and struck two pedestrians. Six of the injured suffered minor injuries, while three sustained serious fractures. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM. Shinde has been taken into custody, and the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
