Wednesday began like any other morning in the fields for 15-year-old Antim, a resident of Vekaliya village near Baag in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district, until a persistent itch in her ear grew into intense pain. The family rushed her to a clinic, where doctors found a scorpion inside her ear.

How The Scorpion Entered Her Ear

Antim's father Ban Singh and the rest of the family had been out working in the fields since early morning. As is customary in the household, the responsibility of carrying fodder back home to feed the cattle fell to Antim, who would bundle the grass and carry it balanced on her head, a routine task she had likely done many times before, reported TOI.

What Antim did not notice was a small scorpion that had made its way into the grass, slipped inside the bundle, and entered her left ear at some point during her journey home. The intense discomfort left her writhing in pain. An*l Er*ticism Case in Agra: Doctors Remove 1-Liter Water Bottle From Man’s Rectum.

Doctor Extracts Scorpion Using Forceps

Ban Singh took his daughter to Dr RK Shinde, a private practitioner in Baag town and former CMHO of Dhar, hoping for relief. As Dr Shinde examined Antim's ear, he spotted a thin, tail-like structure lodged inside. Following standard procedure, he applied hydrogen solution into her ear before inserting forceps to extract the object, and what emerged left everyone horrified. Did Bihar Doctor Really Use Normal Stapler Pins to Stitch Head Wounds? 'Pain Would Have Been Unbearable,' Says Doctor

According to Dr Shinde, the scorpion's small size may have spared Antim from far greater agony. He noted that the creature might have been frightened upon entering such a confined space inside the ear, adding that had the circumstances been different, "the pain would have been unbearable for her."

He advised that any sensation of itching or the feeling of movement inside the ear must never be dismissed or ignored, stressing that it should instead be treated with utmost seriousness, with the nearest doctor consulted immediately.
